SUMMARY:Rainwater Breathwork
DESCRIPTION:These breathwork classes introduce simple breathing patterns and utilize the power of visualization and metaphor to help connect the breather more deeply to their felt sensations.\n\nThe result is an accessible and integrative approach that allows experienced breathers and beginners alike to very efficiently create more space and flow in the B3 axis (breath\, brain\, and body).\n\nBy doing so\, we address deeply held tension and blockages in the physical and energy bodies\, which are built as a result of unprocessed past traumas\, stress\, or overwhelm.\nUsing our breath\, energy work\, de-armoring tools\, and guided imagery\, we aim to enable the natural flow of energy through our body and restore our nervous system’s capacity.\n\nThe sessions are specifically designed to bring about significant shifts in your consciousness. By softening any resistance that might be impeding feeling aligned\, abundant\, and loved\, they will support the process of regulating your nervous system\, gaining resilience\, activating your life force\, and opening your body (SOMA) into a state of expansion.

SUMMARY:Dancing The Tarot: Archetypal Embodiment
DESCRIPTION:This workshop was inspired by a presentation I attended by artist\, dancer and occultist Laura Tempest Zakroff\, and born from a recent realization that I get my strongest psychic impressions when I’m moving my body – particularly while dancing \nSince then I’ve been experimenting with combining movement practices with Tarot reading and have had interesting and oftentimes stunning results. It’s been fascinating to see how movement can allow for a deepening of intuitive knowing\, AND how the movement itself changes when it’s informed by the archetypal imagery of the Tarot! \nWe will be experimenting with this together by exploring the Tarot through solo\, partnered and small group practices in which we’ll get to play with accessing deeper levels of our intuition through movement and sense attunement. Our movements will be inspired by the archetypal images of the cards\, and we will see what new insights arise when we allow these archetypes to move through our bodies. \nTarot cards will be provided\, but if you have a deck that you love feel free to bring it! \nWith Esja Morningstar

SUMMARY:Awake My Soul: The Story of the Sacred Harp
DESCRIPTION:AWAKE\, MY SOUL: THE STORY OF THE SACRED HARP is the first feature documentary to explore the history\, music\, and traditions of Sacred Harp singing\, the oldest distinctively American form of music. This haunting music has survived over 200 years tucked away from sight in the rural Deep South and performed mostly at community singing events\, which can have up to 100 singers. The events\, called “singings”\, emphasize participation over consumption since they are not generally performed for an audience. Sacred Harp singers begin each song by intoning syllables which are represented by a specific “shapenote” in their hymnal. To the casual observer\, it is some foreign\, unintelligible language\, but to the Sacred Harp singers\, it is the key that unlocks mysteries: songs of both beauty and sorrow\, of life and of death\, songs that cause feet to stomp and tears to flow\, often at the same time. \nSacred Harp is one of the open secrets of American music. If you have heard it at all\, it may have been from the haunting choral music in the motion picture\, “Cold Mountain\,” or in a sample from such artists as Bruce Springsteen or M.I.A.. The past four decades particularly have seen remarkable growth of the tradition throughout other parts of America as well as another dozen countries\, and particularly among young urbanites. The Sacred Harp hymnal\, first published in Georgia in 1844 was revised and published in September 2025\, the first revision in over 30 years. \nAWAKE\, MY SOUL: THE STORY OF THE SACRED HARP is as ruckus and uplifting as the music itself. This is a newly remastered\, updated\, and re-edited release. \nQ&A with Director Matt Hinton\, Erica Hinton

SUMMARY:Writing From Within
DESCRIPTION:The poet’s journey is one of particular spirit\, remembrance\, and discipline. Flowing within and outside of the boundaries of language\, the poetic form returns us to ourselves\, our communities\, and the earth again and again\, reminding us of the expansiveness of our possibility. Like yoga\, poetry asks\, who am I? who are we? where am i right now? where are we right now? and guides us in remembrance. \nThe second iteration of the Writing from Within Workshop is an invitation for writers of all experience levels to walk the path of poetry and yoga with reverence and supportive community over four weeks. Each session\, we’ll embark on deep study of a poetic form with a corresponding yoga āsana and prānāyāma practice sequenced to assist us in writing and breathing with courage\, curiosity\, and intention. This workshop is open to all: no prior yoga or poetry experience is required\, and no one will be turned away for lack of funds.* \n4 Wednesdays \nhosted by Kayara Akiva

SUMMARY:500 Hour Shiatsu Training
DESCRIPTION:The Asian tradition describes the world in terms of energy. Shiatsu creates harmony of our inner energies with that of the universe. To stay healthy a person must continually adapt to the changes going on within and outside the body. If these adaptations do not take place\, illness or disharmony can manifest. Shiatsu helps facilitate this process of adaptation for the giver and receiver. Everyone responds to touch and has healing power within them\, but to heal others you must first begin with yourself. This Shiatsu training helps you develop the tools to do this. \nStudying Shiatsu will deepen your awareness of what energy does in your own body. You will become aware of the patterns of your own life\, and your self- awareness will be greatly refined. Our intention is that you will gain more appreciation\, as well as more control\, of the quality of your life and activities. Our hope is that you will use this knowledge to help yourself and other people feel better and heal themselves. This course of study provides students with the training and credentials necessary by law to practice professionally. \nParticipants may use this training to enrich current massage/bodywork practices. Or\, participants may like to become a Certified Shiatsu Practitioner through the AOBTA with additional anatomy credits. \n  \nSunday training times: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM\, 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM \nMonday training times: 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM \n*1 Sunday & 3 Mondays each month* \n  \nSEP: 14\, 20 (S)\, 28 \nOCT: 5\, 18 (S)\, 19\, 26 \nNOV: 2\, 9\, 15 (S)\, 16 \nDEC: 6 (S)\, 7\, 14\, 21
